Within the framework of the Erasmus+ RETEACH Project, funded by the European Union and titled “Reforming Teacher Education Towards Green and Digital Transition in Mongolia”, a successful procurement and delivery of teaching and learning equipment to participating higher education institutions was carried out.

As part of the project, modern ICT equipment including desktop and laptop computers, and printers was provided to the following five universities:

  • Otgontenger University
  • Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE)
  • National University of Mongolia – Eastern Region School
  • Hangai University
  • Darkhan Institution

The official handover ceremony was organized by the project’s main coordinator, Otgontenger University, on July 1, 2025, where representatives of the participating universities signed the handover documents. As part of this event, Otgontenger University renovated its Student Service Center and distributed the newly delivered equipment to the project team members, faculty, and administrative staff.

Based on the proposal to expand MNUE’s teacher education programs in the fields of natural sciences and inclusive education, these areas will be included in the project going forward. With project support, Hangai University has upgraded its Teaching and Learning Development Center, enhancing its training and research environment. Similarly, the Eastern Region School of the National University of Mongolia has strengthened the operations of its Teaching and Learning Center with the newly delivered equipment, improving the quality of teacher training and professional support. The center also serves as a regional hub, organizing training and research activities for early childhood and general education teachers and specialists across Eastern Mongolia, thus contributing to the region’s educational capacity building. The provided equipment aims to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, digitalize teacher education programs, and support innovation and research in the participating institutions. These efforts contribute to creating a modern, green, and digitally oriented educational environment that meets the demands of the new era. The Erasmus+ RETEACH Project is an international initiative that seeks to reform Mongolia’s teacher education system in line with global trends by introducing digital learning, green education, and innovative technologies. Through its implementation, the project is strengthening teachers’ and students’ digital competencies, improving learning environments, and creating new opportunities for international collaboration and learning. Together, the Erasmus+ RETEACH team, Otgontenger University, and the partner institutions are paving the way for a new era of teacher education in Mongolia.
