The monitoring visit of Arayik Navoyan, external expert and education consultant of the Erasmus+ project “Reforming Teacher Education towards Green and Digital Transition in Mongolia” (RETEACH), was successfully organized from May 18–20, 2026. During the visit, a series of meetings and discussions were held with the national project team and partner institutions to evaluate the project implementation process, outcomes, cooperation, and sustainability. Within the framework of the program, partner institutions including Otgontenger University, the Ministry of Education, the Government Implementing Agency – General Authority for Education, the Mongolian National Institute for Educational Research, the Mongolian National University of Education, the Eastern Regional Branch of the National University of Mongolia, Khangai University, and Darkhan Institute of Higher Education presented their project activities, achievements, and future plans.The external expert provided valuable recommendations on competency-based curriculum development, digital transformation, education for sustainable development, quality assurance, and alignment with international trends. In addition, on the final day of the visit, joint meetings of partner institutions, discussions on project results and impact, and sessions on preliminary conclusions and recommendations were organized to discuss strengthening future cooperation and ensuring the sustainability of the project.
 
The RETEACH project aims to modernize Mongolia’s teacher education system in line with green and digital transition concepts and to systematically integrate internationally recognized digital and green competencies into teacher education curricula. This monitoring visit served as an important opportunity not only to evaluate the implementation progress of the project, but also to strengthen cooperation among participating institutions and enhance the quality and sustainability of the revised academic programs.
